BirdwatchingGreat Blue Heron in the Delta 65 area

Birds are everywhere in the Delta 65 area.

Birds migrate along the Mississippi River flyway, and all you have to do is look and you'll see graceful herons, egrets (cow-birds), songbirds, hummingbirds and so many more.

Audubon did much of his work in this area of Louisiana.  Bring your binoculars and bird identification book along on your trip, and enjoy the breathtaking number of species you'll add to your life list while you visit!!

Migrating birds fly through and stop to eat sometimes .... Wild turkey spotted and photographed from inside my car in Madison Parish. Click for a closer look.
Hawks are everywhere throughout this area. Just look and you'll see them as you drive along! lady.with.binoculars.jpg (218709 bytes)
