Madison Parish is across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg.  Accessible from the east or west by Interstate 20 (I-20) and from the north or south by U.S. Highway 65 (US65), Madison Parish offers a variety of activities, including

• Tensas River National Wildlife Refuge, with hiking, fishing, hunting, hiking, rare birds, bears, deer, and plant life.  Educational programs are available through the Visitor's Center.

• Home of Delta Airlines (Scott's Field) near Tallulah
